Terry Haney has taught math at the middle school, high school, and college levels in Georgia and Alabama.  He currently serves as a mathematics specialist at Northwest Georgia RESA and does occasional contract work as well.  Much of his work focuses on creating student-centered math classrooms where students apply the Standards for Mathematical Practice and writing and vocabulary strategies. He also co-wrote and teaches the K-5 Mathematics Endorsement, as well as leading regional PLCs for elementary and secondary mathematics teachers.  Terry and his wife, Rebecca, reside in Fort Payne, Alabama.
